How to get Xfinity limited-time offers

If you’re not currently an Xfinity customer, chances are there’s a deal waiting for you—or one on the way.

Comcast regularly makes limited-time offers for new customers—but they change depending on where you live. So, your best bet for finding an Xfinity offer you can use is to search for internet, TV, or bundles with your address. (If you don’t mind a few extra emails, you can sign up for Xfinity deals emails, too.)

And if you’re more of a face-to-face kind of person or prefer to call an Xfinity representative, be sure to ask what deals they can offer you while you’re on the phone or in the store.

We also regularly feature the latest Xfinity offers in our list of the month’s best internet deals, and we stay updated on Xfinity's TV and Internet bundles, along with offers from other internet service providers (ISPs). This is a good way to see what special offers are out there to get a leg up on negotiating a good price.

For example, until May 1, Xfinity is offering its Connect plan with doubled download speed for one year, valid for all US regions as well as TV and internet bundles.

Where to find Xfinity military and veteran discounts

Check out Xfinity's military page if you’re looking for military and veteran discounts. You’ll find the latest discounts for current and retired or separated service members.

To grab your Xfinity military discount, you’ll probably need to fill out the application form on the Xfinity military page and provide proof that you are or were in the military.

Deals

Xfinity's military and veteran deals include discounts on plans, virtual prepaid cards, and Xfinity Rewards Diamond member status.

To see what you qualify for, just complete a short application and provide proof of your military or veteran status.

What forms of military documentation does Xfinity accept?

Plan to apply for one of these Xfinity military discounts? Then you’ll need to provide proof of your military service that shows the following:

  • First and last name
  • Date of birth or discharge/retirement date
  • Clear affiliation with the military

Xfinity details the full list of accepted forms of military service documentation during your application process. It also recommends crossing out any sensitive information on any documentation you include in your application, like your social security number.

Xfinity student and teacher discounts

Xfinity usually has a pretty sweet deal on hand for students, and it's just introduced teacher deals as well. Check them out:

Xfinity student discounts

The best place to find your student deal is on the Xfinity student page. To get an Xfinity student discount, you’ll need to fill out the application on the student page and possibly provide some documentation that proves you’re currently a student.

When you apply for an Xfinity student discount, there are a few caveats you should keep in mind as you fill out the form:

  • Only students attending US Title IV, degree-granting colleges or universities are eligible.
  • Make sure you spell out your full college or university name. For example, type “University of Minnesota” instead of “U of MN.”
  • You must be attending a qualified college or university—sorry, recent grads.
  • Your eligibility will also depend on whether Xfinity's internet and TV service is available in the area.

What kind of student documentation is accepted?

If you’re not verified as a student right away, Xfinity may ask you to provide supporting documentation. It will then compare the information you entered in the application to the information on your documentation to prove that you’re currently a student.

Xfinity accepts any school-issued document, like a transcript, with your first and last name, the name of the school, and the date of your current enrollment. Remember: previous semesters or future semesters don’t count as current enrollment!

Xfinity teacher discounts

Xfinity has a new teacher deal ready for teachers, faculty, administration, and staff. To get the latest Xfinity teacher discount, you’ll need to fill out the short application on the page and possibly provide some documentation proving your teaching or staff status. Xfinity gets help from SheerID to verify your status, so if you see that name pop up, that's why.

Here are a few things you should know about filling out the Xfinity teacher discount form:

  • Only teachers, faculty, admin, and staff working at US Title IV, K-12 schools, colleges, or universities are eligible.
  • Make sure you spell out your full school name. For example, type “University of Minnesota” instead of “U of MN.”
  • You must be currently employed at the school, college, or university you note in the form.
  • Your eligibility also depends on whether Xfinity internet and TV service is available in your area.

Xfinity senior discount

Xfinity doesn’t currently offer deals that are explicitly for seniors, although some may qualify for one of the low-cost Internet Essentials plans. Internet Essentials costs $9.95 a month, and you get 50Mbps download speeds, which are fast enough to keep a couple of people using the internet for Facebook, email, and watching an occasional TV show on Hulu. Or there's Internet Essentials Plus, which gets you 100Mbps download speeds for $29.95 a monh.

Anyone on Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or a VA pension program qualifies for Internet Essentials and several other federal assistance programs. Here’s the full list of programs that may qualify you for Xfinity Internet Essentials:

  • Medicaid
  • Public housing assistance
  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
  • Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
  • National School Lunch Program (NSLP) or Head Start
  • Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
  • Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
  • Federal Pell Grant (Colorado and Illinois only)
  • VA pension
  • Tribal assistance programs

Xfinity isn't the only internet provider to offer a low-cost plan. Check out other ISPs with low-cost internet to see what the best deal is in your area.

Xfinity Essentials Internet plans come with bonuses

With the Internet Essentials or Internet Essentials Plus plan, you'll also get these three perks:

  • xFi Advanced Security
  • Access to millions of Xfinity WiFi hotspots
  • Option to purchase a low-cost computer
